Hunting Sabre-Tooth Kyatts – 500k-1m/h

Hunting Sabre-tooth Kyatts can be a very profitable money making method.  These creatures can be found up in the far north, north of Rellaka, in the polar hunting area.

Now, we won’t be killing the Kyatts, but luring them over traps and then collecting their hides.  These hides are worth a lot of money (<9k) and that’s what we’ll be selling on the GE.

Requirements

- 55 hunter

Teasing Stick

-hatchet(toolbelt)

Recommendations

Note that all of the following levels/quests are for easier access to the hunter area, listed from best to worse.

- 71 Summoning(Arctic Bear)

- started Fairy Tale Pt II(fairy ring tele DKS)

To bank, you will need (again, in order of best to worse):

- Tokkul-Zo

-Ring of Duelling

-Ring of Kinship

Other Recommendations

70+ hunter for profit of at least 750k

- Kyatt hunter gear is highly recommended

- Weight Reducing Gear

- Emergency Teleport such as a games necklace

Setup

I have a Tokkul-Zo, and full Kyatt equipped.  In my inventory, I have a teasing stick, which is mandatory to do this method, my hatchet, which is also mandatory, is in my toolbelt, though it can be wielded, and I have an arctic bear pouch, which I will summon so that it can teleport me straight to the hunter area.  Arctic bears have an added bonus of invisibly boosting your hunter level as well.  You should probably have 2-4 bears in your bank, because they only last 28 minutes.

On the fairy ring method:

If you are using fairy rings to get to the area, you will use the code DKS.  the fairy ring you will teleport to is directly south of the hunter area.  Your banking teleport should be edgeville home tele, or some other teleport that’s close to a bank and a fairy ring.  the other option is to, once a full inventory of fur is obtained, to run back south to the fairy ring and bank in Zanaris.  Don’t forget your dramen/lunar staff if you’ve not completed Fairy Tale Pt III.

Instructions

Note: this part of the guide assumes that you are using the Arctic Bear/Tokkul-Zo method.

1. Use your bear familiar to teleport to the hunter area.

Chop down some of the trees until you have about 5-10 logs.

 Then start setting traps.

2. ‘tease’ a Kyatt and it will start attacking you.

lure it to a trap, and jump over it.

Sometimes, the Kyatt will also jump over, and then you will need to lure it you a different pit, because they won’t jump over the same pit twice.  That’s why its always good to have a healthy stock of wood in your inventory.

If it falls into the pit, dismantle it and you will get big bones, and either a tatty fur, or a good fur.

Always drop the tatty fur, they are worth next to nothing.  Bury the bones.

3.  When your done getting a full inventory, teleport to a bank and repeat.  If your Arctic Bear has expired (and it usually does for me because I, at this writing, am only 63 hunter) summon another.

4. Repeat as needed, and then sell your furs on the GE.

Profits

The profits of this method widely vary because as your hunter level increases, so does your chance of catching a Kyatt, and the chance of getting a good fur.  for me, I only make around 550k per hour, at level 63 hunter.  at level 75, I would assume you would be able to make ~800k, and at 90+ over one million per hour.

Another method to do this for those who don’t have the summoning lvl is use the Tokkul-zo to tele to the banker near the fight pits, bank there, then run north to the fairy ring.

Then use DKS fairy ring code to get back to the hunter area.
