Combat Guide – Cockroach Soldiers

Hey everyone, this guide is gonna be on killing Cockroach Soldiers.

To start off: it is recommended you have 75+ combat if you’re good at combat, and 80-85+ combat if you aren’t, good armour and a weapon (full rune and a rune scimitar are the norm), and lots of food (you can either buy or go fishing).

Requirements: You must have access to the Stronghold of Player Safety and having gone up the rope at the highest level (leading to the Crevice outside Edgeville) and having the ability to teleport to Edgeville are both bonuses.

 

In order to get there, you first must be in Edgeville:

Like in the picture, you should run South, with your gear and food until you get to the Crevice. Click on it, and you’ll be taken into the most popular spot to kill Cockroach Soldiers. Once you’re down there, they’re yours for the slaying

Combat Calculations:

Since everyone’s combat stats are different, for the sake of calculations, I’ll use my own stats.

At level 91 Combat, I can kill 8 Cockroach Soldiers in 10 Minutes (wow, 1 Roach every 1 Minute and 15 Seconds, impressive ) Which means I can kill 48 Roaches per hour. Since Cockroach Soldiers have 970 health each kill will get you 128 Constitution experience and 384 Attack, Strength, or Defence experience. Since I kill 48 Cockroach soldiers every hour, I gain 6144 Constitution experience, and 18432 Attack, Strength, or Defence experience on average every hour.

Money Calculations:

On average, every run I do, I get 30 Mithril ores, 3 Adamantite ores, 2,000 coins, 50 Law Runes, and 30 Death Runes.

For the Ores:

Since each mithril ore is 401 gp, I would get 12,030 gp for the Mithril ores.

Since each Adamantite ore is 1192 gp, I would get 3579 gp for all the Mithril ores.

For the Runes:

Since each Law rune is worth 242 gp, I would get 12100 gp for all the Law runes.

Since each Death rune is worth 309 gp, I would get 9270 gp for all the Death runes.

Add that all up and I get 36979 gp every hour – not bad when you’re gettin tons of experience with it!
