Introduction

In this guide, I will be showing you guys a method to make money and get Runecrafting exp in 2007 Scape. It is a fairly stable method right now.

Requirements

• 2 Runecrafting
• Rune Mysteries Completed
• A Mind Talisman

Recommended

• 14 Runecrafting
• As close to 3 combat as possible (Any combat level is fine though)

Travel

Now, as you can see there are two methods to getting to the Mind Altar, you can travel through the wilderness and get there way faster but at the risk of getting pked. Or you could take the wimp route and travel south and go to the bank in Falador.

Is that it?

Yes! That’s all there is to making the Mind Runes, all you have to do it run there and back and BOOM! Profit! Here are some other useful pictures…

The Profits

Now, here’s were you will find out weather you made bank or just screwed up, at first, 1 rune for each essence, will either break even for you or like 1 – 2 gp profit per essence, but even you get to 14, 28, ect. In your Runecrafting level and you make double and triple and so on, that’s where you get the real profit. I can sell my runes for the exact price of how much I bought the essence for after buying 1000 essence, then use that money to buy 2000, then 4000, then 8000, and on and on. I have also timed the speed of it when just walking, which gets you 17 runs per hour, I suggest you save your run for a PKer.

Inventory ~

Potions ~ Bring a Super Defense, a Venca Skull OR a Magic Potion, a Prayer Flask (If you use curses, otherwise a potion will do), and a Prayer Renewal (Only use one does per trip, just saves from brining extra prayer potions) ALTERNATE ~ Bring Overload instead of Mage and Defense

Runes ~ Fire and Air, Skeletal Wyverns are weak to fire spells

Beast of Burden (Bull Ant, Pack Yak, etc) ~ Bring your best, maximizes profit, no need for renewals if you don’t bring it

Food ~ Depends, bring your best healing, 10 pieces for no BoB, 15 for Terrorbird, 20 for War Tortoise

Other ~ Bring a Bolt Pouch if you want, to store the bolt drops that you get.

The Ability Bar ~

Since EoC was released to Runescape, combat has changed very much, one big feature that adds a lot of damage output on the Wyverns is proper use of the Ability Bar. With it, you drastically speed up the time for a kill.

Abilitys (In Order) ~

Blue – Magic Gray – Defence

Basic ~ 

Wrack - A powerful spell that deals up to 125% active spell damage. Inflicts 157% damage against stunned opponents.

Impact - Blast your target with a burst of magical energy, stunning them for 3 seconds. Targets immune to stun instead suffer 188% of your active spell’s damage.

Dragon Breath - Breathe a mighty cloud of fire in a frontal cone, hitting all targets for damage up to 188% of active spell damage.

Combust - Applies a damage-over-time effect to the target, dealing 100%-125% of the active spell’s damage over 6 seconds.

Resonance - The next attack you receive within 6 seconds will heal you instead of harm you.

Preparation - Prepare for the fight ahead, causing each attack you receive to reduce the remaining cooldown of Resonance by 3 seconds. Lasts 10 seconds.

Anticipation - Concentrate on anticipating your foe’s attacks, reducing all damage taken by 10% and providing immunity from stuns for 10 seconds.

Freedom - Break free of any stuns or snares and gain immunity to any further ones for 6 seconds, also clears damage-over-time effects.

Thresholds ~ 

Reflect - Raise your shield, reflecting 50% of any damage you receive back at the attacker. Lasts 10 seconds.

Wild Magic - Fire an unpredictable double magical attack at your target, which deals between 25% and 250% of your active spell’s damage.

Asphyxate - Reach out with magical force and choke the life from your target over 6 seconds, dealing damage every 2 seconds. Your target is stunned for the duration of this effect. Combo attack.

Ultimate ~ 

Rejuvenate - Channel your adrenaline to help restore 40% of your life points and fully restore your drained stats over 10 seconds.

Your main Abilitys will be the basics and Asphyxate, they do the most damage, truly you only need any of the defensive abilitys if you’re taking a lot of damage. Use Freedom when they freeze you.

Getting There ~

Skeletal Wyverns are located in the Asgarnian Ice Dungeon, in Port Sarim. In there is also the Frost Dragon dungeon, and the location of the only Blurite rocks in the game. The best method to getting there would be the fairy ring, code AIQ, or the Port Sarim lodestone. Personally I prefer the lodestone. Once you arrive at the lodestone, you run directly south and you should reach a trapdoor. If you took the fairy ring then you would run north and around the little hill. Once inside you go north and take you’re first right. When your in a big snowy room, go south a bit and you will see the chamber.

Banking with the Tokkul-zo

If you have completed The Elder Kiln you can use your Tokkul-zo to bank. All you do is have it on your ring slot. Then after your inventory is full you can use it to teleport to the Fight Caves. There is a bank, and if you run directly north, you find a fairy ring. I also suggest having A Fairy Talke Part III – Battle at Orks Rift, so you don’t need a lunar or dramen staff.

Killing Them ~

Once you arrive BEFORE you go in drink your potions and turn on your prayers, then step inside. Once inside you can click the one in the corner where the path is shown on the map. Then kill the Wyvern in that corner, spamming your basic ability’s. Once you get up to them, use your threshold ability’s as well. You can decide when you want to use your ultimate though. When your inventory is full of your food and bones summon your Beast of Burden. Then fill it whenever you can.

For me, with the gear in the above picture, I kill one and a half of them every minute, so a trip without a BoB would take 13 mins for the killing. Also note that you should give yourself 2 minutes for banking and returning. So without a BoB I can reach 4 trips per hour, about 20 kills each.

Profit and Experience ~

So for each kill you get….

- 1 Wyvern Bone
- 1022 Magic Exp
-450 Constitution Exp

So for an average trip you get…

- 20 Wyvern Bones
- 20k Magic Exp
- 9k Constitution Exp

And for an average hour….

- 60 Wyvern Bones
- 60k Magic Exp
- 27k Constitution Exp

NOTE: I higher profit can be achieved with a non degrading set of equipment.

1-15

Location

For the first 15 levels, from 1-15, we will be cutting 97 normal tree’s (logs).  We will be outside the Grand Exchange.  I have circled on the map where the tree’s are.

Hatchet

Iron or Dwarven army axe.

15-30

Location

Once you turn to level 15 woodcutting, you will cut oak tree’s and we will cut 293 logs. We will be by east varrock bank. I have circled the oak tree locations

Hatchet

Black Hatchet until level 21 and then Mithril Hatchet.

30-45 

Location

Once you turn level 30, you will cut willow logs. When you do, you will need to cut 714 willow logs at draynor village.

Hatchet

Use the mithril hatchet until level 31 and then use adamant hatchet.

45-68

From level 45, you will cut maple logs until level 68 at seers village, behind the bank. You will need to cut 5436 maple logs.

Hatchet

Rune hatchet until you reach level 61 then dragon hatchet (only if affordable), and if you have the requirements, inferno adze. 

68-99

From 68-99 you will need to cut 37,382 ivy’s but don’t worry, ivy’s are afk’ able as you don’t need to bank as far as I know. You will be in Varrock.

Hatchet

Rune hatchet(If you can’t get dragon or inferno adze but not Reccomended ), dragon hatchet (only if affordable), and if you have the requirements, inferno adze.
